LAND YOUR DREAM JOB FOR $10
October 16, 2010– Portsmouth – With so many people out of work, a few people put their heads together to find a way to help. Sales Protocol International, a sales and marketing consulting and training firm and Bethany Church have collaborated to offer a community workshop on October 23rd called, “Land your Dream Job” for a $10.00 donation at the door, including lunch.
“The idea started from the class I’m teaching at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics as an adjunct professor. This program helps undergraduates combine sales, marketing, personal branding, social media, and leadership to land jobs,” said Catherine Blake, President of Sales Protocol International. “Based on the buzz, I’m getting calls every day from unemployed people in the community asking for help. I don’t feel comfortable charging my usual consulting fee when that person might be struggling to put food on the table, so I approached Judye Ronalter at Bethany Church to see if she wanted to collaborate.”” Judye Ronalter, a thirty year human resources executive saw tremendous value in this program and immediately said yes.

The workshop will be highly interactive using role plays and mock interviews to answer, “Why should I hire you?” and “Why do I want you on my team?”. Participants will discover that by using the power of a personal value proposition during the interview, they may nail it and get the offer. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume and any sample cover letters they have written. Using a strengths based approach; the goal is to find out what puts an individual in the zone and then find an organization that needs exactly what they can offer.
The Land Your Dream Job Workshop will be offered at Bethany Church located at 500 Breakfast Hill Road in Greenland, New Hampshire on Saturday, October 23rd from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
